We may not be entirely comfortable with the pace of how the western world seems to be opening back up, but the reality is it’s happening whether we are ready for it or not. As a result, it’s in our best interest to be aware of COVID-19 restrictions and travel requirements. If you aren’t fond of having swabs stuffed uncomfortably up your nostrils, but would still love to travel, here are countries you can travel to without taking a molecular test.
However, there is a slight catch. To travel to many countries without a testing mandate upon travel or arrival, you will need to be fully vaccinated. Meaning that you are arriving in the said country 14 days after your second dose (or first, if you were lucky enough to receive a one-shot vaccine).
Austria
As of July 5th, 2021, you can travel to Austria without a COVID-19 test as long as you can provide documented proof that you’ve been vaccinated for over three weeks.
If not, a negative test or note of recent COVID recovery will do.
Ecuador
Ecuador, including the Galapagos archipelago, is yours to discover after two weeks post-vaccine.
Proof of recovery 30 days before arrival is also a safe bet.
Other counties include Denmark, Czech Republic, Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Iceland, Morocco, Poland, Belize and the Bahamas.
Be sure to double-check requirements before travelling to and from a country, as regulations are ever-changing during these unprecedented times.
If you are making an international trip, you are most likely required to take a COVID-19 test before entering North America.
The good news is, you would have already enjoyed yourself on a trip and will be eager to get back one. One test is a lot better than two.
